At our Magic Camps (for ages 8-14), kids are given the chance to peek behind the curtain, peer into the top hat and explore the wonder and majesty that is magic!
Camps are 5 days long, 2 hours per day
10 hours of class time
Recommended age is 8-14 yrs.
Once our young students take the magician’s oath in a fun ceremony, our young students become apprentices, and will be taught by Saskatchewan's own Danny Kazam, as well as special guests on varied aspects of the craft.
Our young apprentices will learn, develop and perfect the various elements required to perform magic successfully.
Students will begin with the basic foundation of the magician’s craft, learning about sleight of hand, redirection, hand and finger exercises, flourishes and magic theory. From there, our campers will progress to the essentials of the magician’s repertoire, such as card tricks, the classic cups and balls, coin tricks, rope tricks, math magic, and more.
And just as importantly, our magic apprentices will learn the art of performing and will fine tune their tricks into a polished, crowd-pleasing presentation they will perform at the end of camp
Learning the art of magic has a number of benefits, including the development of confidence and self-esteem, hand-eye coordination, critical thinking, multitasking thoughts & actions, fine motor skills, manual dexterity, making friends and so much more!
